Alternative Processes

Studying the history of photography taught me the building blocks of alternative processes. Art school brought me to an authentic expression in which I began deconstructing the photograph and reconstructing it for myself. I began by creating a paper that had the relevant qualities of texture, tone and opacity. This led to mixing my own chemicals, making negatives from film and transparent materials, transferring dyes from positives or heat transfers to paper then reworking the final surface.
